ABOUT ME

Ashley Poulin (she/her) is a Canadian actor & director currently based in New York City. She has studied, competed, and performed in New Jersey, Los Angeles (Stella Adler Acting Academy), Toronto (Second City Improv), Scotland, and Detroit. She most recently graduated as a Dean's Delegate with her B.F.A. in Acting in the CFPCA at Wayne State University, (also with minors in Musical Theatre and Forensic Investigations and Policing). 

 

Ashley Poulin made her film debut at the age of nine, playing opposite Tom Cavanagh (The Flash) and Fred Willard (Anchorman). She has since appeared in various films and television shows including Paramount+’s StarTrek: Starfleet Academy and Amazon Prime’s The Dude in My Room. She began working in theatre at the age of seven and has since performed in a multitude of productions including Revolt. She Said. Revolt Again. (KCACTF National Winner) and Spamalot (Edinburgh Fringe Festival Winner Best Young Cast). 

 

Ashley is passionate about arts accessibility; amplifying voices and championing authentic art from those who have been marginalized. She was Chair of The Underground Theatre Company in Detroit which acts as an incubator for emerging artists as they work to produce a diverse and important season of shows each year.  She is proud to have worked as a Community Engagement and Programming Fellow with Detroit Public Theatre’s Shakespeare in Prison signature community program to empower incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people to reconnect with their humanity and that of others.

 

Currently, she is the general manager of The PIT  in NYC and works for The Dramatists Guild of America, working to help writers protect their unique visions. 

 

When she's not performing, you can find Ashley fostering pups with Hearts & Bones Rescue!
